VentureLab. Lantbruksnytt. 18 november 2017 · SLU Alnarp ska bli en plats för studenter att utveckla sina affärsideer. Nu startas ett unikt samarbete med Lunds VentureLab, part of Georgia Tech’s Enterprise Innovation Institute, was founded in 2001 to collaborate with faculty and students to create startups based on Tech research. Since then, we’ve supported the launch of hundreds of startups which, combined, have raised over $1.5B in investments. VentureLab's online courses provide entrepreneurial learning to youth anywhere! Our courses work well as part of a class, homeschool curriculum, hybrid and remote learning, and lots more.

VentureLab organizes a range of different camps, including the following: VentureLab vänder sig till alla studenter, oavsett utbildning och hur långt de har kommit i sina studier. Det spelar mindre roll vad det är för idé, om det är att erbjuda en ny tjänst eller en ny produkt. Det spelar heller ingen roll om idén är inom den sociala ekonomin eller strikt kopplad till teknik. Det blev en succé med omkring 130 besökare, när VentureLab bjöd in till Trendspotting-event på temat innovationer för ett hållbart matsystem i slutet av november.

VentureLab is a technology commercialization project launched at Georgia Tech in 2001. It has since been adopted by the Georgia Research Alliance for other research universities in the U.S. state of Georgia .

Thomas co-founded Venturelab, Alycore, Dextera, Multi Media Communications, DuB Media, XLR8FUND and Innovation Event, and has screened over 1500 companies throughout his career. He has helped fund several Norwegian start ups and early venture companies. He has both led and participated in a number of key deals.
